Ready to catch the wind in Santorini? Learn how to windsurf on the island of Santorini - one of the greatest spots for windsurfing. This lesson will teach you how to manage the sail on the beach, seamlessly get into the water with your board, and finally ride your board and charter your sail on the beautiful Aegean - an unmatched sensation!
Accessible to everyone, this beginner course takes place on Avis Beach, near Kamari and the airport of Santorini. The beach is quite wide and not so crowded which makes it ideal for everyone to take their first steps windsurfing in Santorini.
The experienced instructors will give you an introduction to windsurfing on the beach, introducing you to all the different equipment before helping you to get on board in the sea. You will be accompanied the whole way, your instructor offering you tips and tricks as you slowly gain confidence on the board. Windsurfing is terrific fun - let the wind carry you across the waves and skid along the beautiful coast. There's no place like Santorini to take on a new and exciting watersport.
The Windsurf Center on Avis Beach offers two different beginning windsurfing formats. For a quick 45-minute intro to windsurfing, select the introductory lesson. If you're in the mood for a more thorough beginner's lesson, select the full beginner lesson; this option will give you 4 full hours with your windsurfing board: 45-minutes in the water with the instructor, followed by a session of independent practice, where you will be able to learn to free-sail more confidently.
