Activity description
Come discover the best hidden secret waterways of Cape Town with an exciting Stand Up Paddle lesson and tour.
What better way to wander the Mother City than a paddle down the V&A canals. In this activity a local guide will provide you with an introduction to stand up paddling followed by a scenic tour. The day starts off on the V&A Waterfront where your guide will provide you with a short safety briefing and SUP equipment. Then it’s time to hit the water!
You will learn how the weather and environment affects paddling, how to carry the board and paddle, paddling technique, different types of turns, self-rescue, how to fall safely, planning of expeditions, and the basics of stance in surf. Once the lesson has been conducted, you will enjoy a guided tour up and down the gorgeous V&A canals. The activity will end back on the V&A Waterfront where you can enjoy the rest of your day!
All equipment is provided: wetsuit, boots, paddle, and paddleboard.

Transfer within 5km radius of Central Business District in Cape Town (Min 2 ppl)
Activity requirements
You should be comfortable in the water and able to swim
Requires a reasonable amount of fitness, this is a strenuous but fun activity
