Activity description

Feel at home on this husky farm visit and dog sledging experience!

Travel into the scenic white wonderland of Rovaniemi and visit a family run and operated husky farm – exploring the winter plains on a 10km sledding experience. A chance to meet the stars of the show – 18 very excitable Siberian Huskies, learn more about why they love what they do and how sledding is an integral part of Finnish culture – finishing off with a wet-nosed cuddle, of course!

Location
This activity takes place in Sierijärventie near Rovaniemi. A traditional farm and yoga retreat, this scenic location in Lapland is located on the shores of Lake Sierijärvi and neighbouring pine forest used for dog sledding.

Activity
Here you will be with your family or friends far away from the crowded locations. You will have your own husky team and get to drive the sled on easy terrain so almost everyone is able to do it. If you prefer to sit in the sled that is always possible too.

You will make new friends with huskies and locals while you are visiting their home and seeing the real local way of life of husky mushers.

This is a lovely experience for families with small children. At the husky home the family lives with 20 huskies and a cat. You can join them and feel part of the team. You will learn how to drive the sled and the children can sit in the sled wrapped in the warmth of a winter sleeping bag.

You will cross easy terrain, over the frozen lake.

Conditions
A scenic dog sledge experience and farm visit, this excursion is suitable for young children and animal lovers alike. Operating during the Arctic winter from November-April, please dress appropriately with winter boots and warm outerwear.

Physical condition: for driving dog sled - normal condition,
it is possible also to sit in the sled and the guide will drive you.

The highlight of our trip ! We were two families - 4 adults and 5 kids and we had an absolute blast !! The frozen lake , the gorgeous dogs , the friendly and warm hosts made our day !

Wir buchten die HuskyTour, da sie uns von offthepath empfohlen wurde. Super authentisches und nettes Pärchen, die insgesamt 23 Huskies halten. Die Hunde werden so toll behandelt und gehalten und es werden nur kleine Gruppen betreut, was wir super angenehm fanden im Vergleich zu den sonst angebotenen Massentouren. Absolut empfehlenswert wenn man um Rovaniemi eine HuskyTour machen will! Jedes Pärchen fährt einen Schlitten, einer fährt, einer sitzt drin und man tauscht nach der Hälfte, am Ende gibts noch ein Heißgetränk und Gebäck

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und hatten dann eine super Zeit die am Lagerfeuer mit heißen Getränken auslief. Die komplette Zeit über hatte man nie das Gefühl einfach nur ein Kunde zu sein, sondern vielmehr wurde man in die Welt der Schlittenhunde mitgenommen.

Il giro in slitta prevede un itinerario attorno ad un bellissimo lago ghiacciato, della durata di circa 50 minuti. I gestori sono una famiglia davvero cordiale e accogliente, che rendono l’attività molto più intima rispetto ai grandi tour operator, senza orario stringenti. Alla fine del giro in slitta ci hanno lasciato del tempo per stare con i cani, per poi servirci bevande calde e biscotti allo zenzero attorno ad un fuoco, dove siamo restati per scambiare due chiacchiere con gli altri partecipanti, sempre all’insegna dell’atmosfera Familire che qui regna. Nel complesso l’attività e’ durata circa due ore.

Wir haben uns für diesen Anbieter entschieden, da die Husky-Schlittenfahrt hier 10km lang war und die Möglichkeit bestand, den Schlitten selbst zu fahren. Besonders toll war, dass wir wie erwartet nur zu dritt waren, sodass es wirklich ein einzigartiges Erlebnis war und keine „Massenveranstaltung“. Es war super und die Landschaft war wunderschön!

Una experiencia inolvidable! Aksana y su esposo fueron muy atentos y nos acompañaron en todo momento del paseo. Los perros son muy amigables y nos fue sencillo manejar el trineo. Aunque hacía un frió horrible, no nos impidió disfrutar de esta experiencia única.

Lakeside location was perfect for our ride across and around the frozen lake and adjacent forest track. Warm clothing prided was excellent . Aksana was on the front sledge and her husband on a snowmobile so well covered for experience suppport during the event, stopping a couple of time to check everyone was ok and to swop drivers if wanted to. Hot drinks around the campfire afterwards was a really nice way to chat, warm up and finnish the (all too quickly over) 10km ride. 5 sledges on our trip so a small group activity.

Magnifique balade sur le lac gelé et dans la forêt En chien de traîneau. Super complicité avec les chiens, trop adorable ces toutou et la nature est vraiment sublime et éblouissante. 2h de pur bonheur avec un accueil chaleureux, avec des guides tres sympathiques. Des explications claires, des paysages magnifiques, une ferme à taille humaine. Après la ballade, Nous avons eu le droit à une dégustation de petits gâteaux autour du feu avec un excellent Thé finlandais, Assis sur des rondins de bois recouvert de pot de Rennes face au lac gelé.

Amazing experience! Aksana was extremely good ANFITRIONA! The place in the middle of nowhere with the iced lake, permit us to ride the TRINEO with real huskies, and it was really wonderful! One person can ride and the other goes in the TRINEO, and the sensation is incredible, by the moonlight. To get HOTTER, we took some hot drink by the fire outside the house, and spent some good time with the owners. We also visited all the huskies they have! A nice place to visit and for sure to recommend!

We took a 10 km dog sled ride. The route was both through the forest and across the lake. The landscapes are beautiful. The dogs are very friendly, obedient and loving. You'll also get a Lappish snack (homemade pancakes and tea).

Abholung hat perfekt geklappt. Wir waren zu zweit und jeder konnte einen eigenen Schlitten steuern.
