This tour is organised and operated from Rovaniemi on the outskirts of the Finnish Taiga. Part of the Lapland area of the Arctic Circle, this Boreal Forest is the world’s biggest wilderness -  ideal for star gazing and watching the Northern Lights due to its low levels of light pollution.

Suitable for groups of friends and families alike, this scenic trip is ideal for total beginners and expert off-roaders. Due to the unpredictable nature of the Northern Lights, using a snowmobile gives you access to parts of the landscape that would have been inaccessible with any other form of transport –offering a scenic setting and totally private viewing experience. A 25km route following a lead guide, track the distinctive evening colours of the Aurora, travelling deep into the Taiga forest – pausing in the best location for photographs and a campfire. When you stop beneath the auroras, the professional photographer will assist you with not only setting up your camera but will also take pictures for you with their own high-quality camera.  Keep warm by the campfire as you tuck into a traditional Finnish BBQ,  following your guide back into town where your transport will be waiting to take you back to your accommodation.

Conditions
Operating during the Aurora season from October to April, this activity is suitable for anyone with a full, valid driving licence. Children are welcome to join but will be taken by sledge on a separate snowmobile for safety reasons. Please note that Northern Lights sightings are subject to weather conditions and solar activity so therefore they are not guaranteed.
