Are you looking for an original activity to do in Finland? Have you always been fascinated by Scandinavia's frosty winter? Then, you should definitely look here! What do you get if you put into a mixer: frozen water, Ursuit rescue suits, and beautiful Finnish landscapes? You get your next adventure: Ice floating! A truly special activity that you have surely never tried before!
Program:
The activity starts off with you meeting your guide: by the bridge going to the old castle Olavinlinna. After a safety briefing, you will put on the warm Ursuit to later start the activity. Then you will run upstream of the river and jump into the frozen water. You will after that float downstream like a cork, to later go up from the water and enjoy a hot drink.
Please note that the instructor has a limited amount of suits. The size of the suit depends on how tall you are.
Safety suits:
In total 13 MAS-II isolated neoprene suits are available:
- 2 for size S for 140-165cm tall / chest max 100cm, waist max 90cm
- 8 for size M: 160-188cm tall / chest max. 112cm, waist max. 100cm
- 3 for size L: 176-205cm tall / chest max. 136cm, waist max. 124cm
- 2 for size XL: 176-205cm tall / chest max. 144cm, waist max. 132cm
