Activity description
Canoeing in the Gorges du Chassezac in Ardèche is a fun activity to do with family or friends!
The descent of the Chassezac is about 7 km long and lasts at least 2 hours, allowing a superb discovery of the Ardèche and its regional natural park. The starting point is in the boat house located at the Pont de Fer, between Les Vans and Les Assions. A van will be waiting for you at the arrival to take you to the landing stage.
During your descent of the Chassezac, you will take time to admire the natural environment that surrounds the river: fauna, flora and geological formations. You will find yourself either in a canoe, a boat for 2 people that can accommodate a child between 7 and 11 years old for free in the middle, or in a kayak, a boat for one person.
After this descent, you will be able to stay as long as you wish on the base of Ceven'Aventure and organize the day at your own pace. The Gorges du Chassezac offer wonderful and peaceful landscapes, it is necessary to take advantage of it to swim, to make jumps, to picnic, to sleep and even to fish!
