Kitesurfing on Monolithos Beach
Monolithos Beach can be found on the southeast side of the island. It is a quite spacious, long and flat beach with black fine-grained sand. You can expect north-east constant wind and the famous Meltemi ranging from 14 to 20 knots. The wind conditions are ideal for all riding levels from beginners to experienced kite riders. When it gets higher than 5bfr it's ideal for some wave riding and surfing. The instructors can also point you in the direction of some hidden locations nearby where the conditions are ideal for a stress-free kitesurfing experience in Santorini.
The Kitesurfing Equipment
All the equipment is from 2015 and 2016. Slingshot kites 2015 are available, rpm and rally for all conditions, strong or light wind.
Several twin tip boards and unique hand-made Cohete carbon epoxy surfboards or bamboo.
O’Neill wet suits and Mystic accessories are also available (harnesses – helmets- impact vests- life jackets).
