Essaouira, also named Mogador in Berber, is a seaside town located in western Morocco, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. It's also situated 175 km north from Agadir and 185 km west from Marrakech. It is a famous spot for water sliding sports!

Inhabited since prehistoric times, Essaouira is a fortified city in which numerous people used to live. The modern city, however, was built by Mohammed Ben Abdellah al-Khatib, former Sultan of Morocco. The most famous tourist sites are the fortress and its ramparts and the famous Medina of Essaouira listed in the UNESCO World Heritage.

Essaouira benefits from a 6 km wide and fine sandy beach, which is one of the most beautiful beach in Morocco. Chill out under the sun with your friends or family and contemplate the charming island of Mogador!

The bay of Essaouira is an excellent spot to practice several nautical sports. Surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing or freeriding... get ready for a thrilling experience! The bay offers indeed great and safe sailing conditions and there is even a spot where you can ride peacefully in case of powerful waves. The region also provides spots which are perfect for experimented riders. One is located in Sidi Kaouki in southern Essaouira, and the other is in Moulay Bouzerktoun, northern Essaouira.

Concerning kitesurfing, thanks to Mogasurf school, you will have the chance to be trained by Ismail Adarzane, the France's kiteboarding champion of 2014!
