Lake Idro: The Popular Sport activities

Lake Idro: What to do when you get there?

Lake Idro is a small alpine lake situated in the northeast of Italy, close to Brescia and Lake Garda. Lake Idro is dominated by green mountains and surrounded by beautiful villages. Its natural beaches in stone chippings are easily accessible from the camping sites and hotels, all facing directly the lake.

Lake Idro offers the possibility to practice sports directly in contact with nature. Thanks to the constant presence of the wind Ander, that blows from South to North each afternoon, it is possible to practice windsurfing and sailing in the southern part of the lake. The northern part of the lake, where the wind blows stronger, is frequented by kitesurf lovers.

No wind in the morning? Well, get on a canoe and start paddling! For the brave ones, you can experience canyoning in the near creeks with family of friends. If you are a more bound to earth person, there are still plenty of activities to do! Go Climbing on Corna di Fenere, or traverse the numerous Via Ferrata overhanging the lake. Not high enough? Well paraglide accompanied by trustful instructors to enjoy an outstanding upper view of Lake Idro!
