Rethymno: What to do when you get there?

Rethymno is a one of the three municipalities in Crete in the middle, between Chania and Irakleio. The city is famous for the Venetian architecture and the big mountains behind the historical city. It is a very picturesque city with many attractions, museum and of course natural spots to visit. You can reach Rethymno by flying to Chania or Irakleion, or by ferry from Pireaus. 

Rethymno is famous for his venetian castle standing in the middle of the city, on its magnificent hill. In front of the sea and port, the castle is astonishing for its views all around the city. The local delicacies will leave you amazed, and with the cretan hospitality you will discover your second home. Rethymno is a rich city in culture and activities! 

You can practice many types of sports like mountain biking, or scuba diving to explore the different caves with the most famous being the Elephant cave nearby.
