Activity Snapshot
Activity description
Meet your expert guide in Reykjavik and embark on an awesome skiing week on Iceland's volcanoes and glaciers!
This 5-day expedition includes accommodation in twin rooms of 3-star hotels, an experienced guide, and daily transport to your skiing spots and some of Iceland's most iconic natural sights.
On day 1, you will be picked up bright and early from your accommodation in and around Reykjavik for your first ski excursion. From there, you will hop from accommodation to accommodation every day, traveling the island in pursuit of its best and most beautiful slopes. Your skis will travel all kinds of terrain, from glaciers to active volcanoes, to majestic peaks overlooking the ocean. Your athletic efforts will culminate with your biggest ski outing on day 4, which will take you all the way up Hvannadalshnúkur, Iceland's highest peak. The 2000 m ascent will be intense, but the incredible views combined with the adrenaline-surging descent down its untouched snow will make up for all of it.
Your hard work will be balanced out with some cultural visits in order to let off steam and recover from your more intense skiing days. As you travel to each new summit, stops will be made to visit some of Iceland's most iconic natural beauties, including its geysers, waterfalls, and black beaches.
Every evening you will have the opportunity to relax in a 3-star hotel. Give your aching muscles some love in the hot tubs and saunas, and fully immerse yourself in Icelandic-style natural homeopathy.
Perfect for hardcore ski junkies on the search for new summits offering unique views and cultural experiences!
