Activity description
Welcome to an amazing dog sledding experience in which you will feel like an Eskimo and connect to the wild north! Share a sled with a friend and swap from driver to rider midway through the excursion - great for taking photos and couples!
The first thing is to give you warm clothes followed by instructions on how to safely sit and drive the sled.
Together with a friend on the combo tour; one person drives and the other rides with a team of 5-6 dogs (depending on the weather conditions and your combined weight). Halfway through you will get to swap over so everyone gets to try both driving and riding.
During the combo tour, we cover a distance of approximately 18km (11mi) of varied landscapes. The area where we make the trails is hand-selected. Thus we cover the optimal varied landscape, namely forest areas, swamps, open spaces, and a creek.
When we return to the kennel; if you want to you can help to feed your own team of dogs and unharness them before we put them back into their yards.
From here we can warm up by the fire with a cup of tea or coffee and a cinnamon roll. You can ask questions and cuddle with the puppies (if we have any) before we take you back to one of our drop-off locations in the Kiruna area.
This tour ends at approximately 17:00pm.
