Arctic fjord sightseeing by Minibus excursion in Tromsø

Get to know, capture, and stretch your legs in the beautiful Arctic fjords on this exciting family-friendly minibus tour.

Tromsø is a great starting point for travellers to explore the Finnmark's breathtaking regions. However, doing so without an experienced guide can be somewhat intimidating, as Northern Norway's roads often call for insider knowledge and special equipment. On this tour, one of our specialist guides will take the wheel and drive you to the region's most unique and wild fjords while you sit back and relax, taking in the stunning Arctic views on the way. 

Before leaving, we will meet at our basecamp in Tromsø and go over the security regulations quickly. We will then provide you with the necessary Winter clothing, including a warm suit, gloves and boots. We will also pack the minibus with hot drinks and light lunches for everyone, as well as all the necessary security equipment, and some camera tripods, which we bring to put at your disposal during the entirety of the trip. 

We will then head off to our 3 main spots, all located on the island of Kvaløya. The first, Ersfjord, used to be a traditional fishing village before becoming a stunning and popular fjord for travellers to stop and take pictures. We will then cross an windy and scenic bridge to the small neighbouring island of Sommarøy, known for its breathtaking wilderness, crystal-clear waters and fine sand beaches. The mountains overlooking the island provides a dramatic and authentically Norwegian backdrop. Finally, we will drive over to Hella, where we will take a stunning road along the fjord. Hella is also known for its prehistoric rock carvings which we will pass by. Depending on the day, we will choose one of these spots to stop, have a light picnic with coffee or tea, and stretch our legs. With any luck, we will also spot some Arctic wildlife. Inhabitants of our journey include reindeer, moose, eagles and other such animals for us to keep an eye out.
