Activity description

Snowmobile out in the wild Norwegian North and visit one of the world’s most incredible architectural edifices at the Tromsø Ice Domes!

This adventure will see you out of Tromsø city centre to the wilderness of Finnmark, where the famous Ice Domes hotel is built every Winter for tourists world-wide to admire. We will drive first to Camp Tamok, where we will equip you with state-of-the-art snowmobiling suits and helmets. Then, we will undergo a thorough safety introduction and practical demonstration before heading onto the snow. There is no need for previous snowmobile experience for this activity - we will teach you everything you need to know!

Once on the snow, we will drive in pairs on each snowmobile, with the ability to switch places during the trip so everyone (of the adults) has the opportunity to be in the driver’s seat. On the tour we will skid through the immense Finn valley, starting at 250m above sea level, and then gradually make our way up, climbing up and around the impressive mountains bordering Norway, Sweden, and Finland. This excursion will take you around the stunning Arctic scenery for approximately 2 hours, depending on weather and snow conditions.

Once back at Camp Tamok, we will make our way down the road to Tromsø Ice Domes. You will be treated to a guided tour of its many dazzling facilities, including the Ice Bar, Ice Cinema, Ice Bedrooms, and Ice Restaurant. Each room is themed, with some spaces dedicated to Sami culture, and others decorated to the theme of the Northern Lights. Admire the dazzling lights and delightful ice sculptures as you make your way around the complex. The guided tour teaches you about the conception of the ice hotel, as well as the vital role of ice and snow for the survival of our arctic animals.Feel free to ask the guide any question you may have on the area - the staff is always happy to help guests with any query they may have. At the end of the tour, you will be allowed to take a complimentary alcohol-free drink at the ice bar. Feel free to bring some extra cash if you’re tempted for more!

Complete your tour with a visit to our herd of reindeer - the perfect end to your Winter fairy-tale experience!

Moto neige extrêmement simple à conduire ( d'autant plus si expérience moto ou quad préalable). Balade à faible allure en groupe à la queue leuleu.

Super mais on aimerait que le temps sur les motoneiges dure un peu plus
